Dark on Fire

I know I haven’t updated in quite a while. I’m still picking up the pieces. And setting the wheels in order. But I guess I should be fine. And it’s gonna take me two miracles to pass this semester. So, I guess I should be doing more studying.

But I would also like to talk about B’s dress that I totally disliked in “Enough About Eve.” The colour, feathers, and design totally didn’t work for me, didn’t get how that was Old Hollywood style, which B is famous for. I mean B’s fashion stylist, what were you thinking? And the irony is, I can’t even find a photo of it anywhere on Google, or CW or tv.com, to post it up here, so I guess maybe, everyone thinks it’s hideous enough to not be put on the web. Go watch the episode, 306, it’s the one that B wears when she was giving the toast with V hiding the microphone in her clutch.

And for “How to Succeed in Bassness”, the whole episode was so boring for the first 35 mins, or so  till the action and all the good parts happened near the last 5 mins. As in things started picking up and turning out well after B told C about the fake liquor licence and the police got called in to chase everyone out of the club.

But, as I was watching Season 2 again, since I really think Season 2 is by far the best season for Gossip Girl so far, in my opinion, I picked up on a song by Turin Brakes, called Dark on Fire. That’s the song that was played when C talked to B and told her to wait, that sometime in the future, they could be together again. So here are the lyrics, and the link to youtube for the video. I got the lyrics from Gossip Girl Insider Music by episode webpage, and video from youtube.

Dark on Fire by Turin Brakes

In the morning,
When you wake up
Daytime fades up
And your make up runs,
Just hold on

It sounds tacky,
but I’m hopeful
There’s a reason
That the world turns round,
Through silent sound

Set the dark on fire
Set the dark on fire
Set the dark on fire
Set the dark on fire
Now oooooohhhhh
Wooooooo ohhhhh

I got lost
Inside a memory,
When I was young
And I almost drowned,
I was found

It sounds tacky
But I’m hopeful,
There’s a reason
That I found the ground
And my sirens sound.

Set the dark on fire
Set the dark on fire
Set the dark on fire
Set the dark on fire
Now

So take all that you know and stuff it in a hole,
And in ten thousand years someone will take you home,
Rewind the words in which you roam

ahh oooooh ooh
oooooooh ooh

Set the dark on fire
Set the dark on fire
Set the dark on fire
Set the dark on fire
Nowwww oooooh
